Debbie Lockhart has been in the comedy business for over ten years. She began with improv, performing across the states in 1993 and made her overseas debut in the 2000 International TheatreSports Tournament in London (where she dazzled the Brits in a 3-person improvised Shakespeare Play & Musical).
As a solo artist, she has become one of the hottest female stand-ups on the West Coast. She recently placed among the countrys funniest in the 27th Annual San Francisco International Comedy Competition, was a semi-finalist in '03 & '04 California's Funniest Female Competition, was accepted to perform in Los Angeles' premiere entertainment showcase, "15 Minutes of Fem" playing at the famed Egyptian Arena Theatre and just finished her Kickin' California/ Colorado/New Mexico Tour. She can also be seen in the indy films, "The Baxters," 'My Femme Lady," and the "Job Smart" TV series.
You'll note she incorporates her improv skills along with her athletic prowess and ability to make the audience smile in her standup act, therefore making sure you never see the same act twice. She owes much of her stage persona to her 10-year tap & jazz dance training and high school cheerleader & pom-pom girl background.
She performs regularly in such prestigious Los Angeles comedy clubs as The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, The Ice House, and coming soon to a club in a city near you! If you havent seen her lap dance, then you haven't experienced life. Look for her upcoming one-woman show with backup boy dancers, "All I Really Want To Be is a Solid Gold Dancer," coming Spring 2006.
Debbie improvises regularly with Chicks & Salsa and is an alumnus of nationally acclaimed improv troupes, ComedySportz Santa Barbara and Los Angeles TheatreSports.
